Mikel Arteta hails "brilliant" Arsenal supporters
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has praised the club's support for the "brilliant" atmosphere generated during the win over Spurs and calls for more "bite" against Villa
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has hailed the tremendous support the Gunners received from fans during the North London derby - and has called on them to display their "bite" once more against Aston Villa this weekend.
In response to a question from Morning Star journalist Layth Yousif during the Gunners manager's Friday press conference at London Colney, ahead of hosting Unai Emery's side this weekend, Arteta said that the support during his side's 2-1 win over Spurs this week was "brilliant."
Arteta added: "I loved it. I said it before, that’s in our hands.
"We can look and feel sorry about what’s happening with injuries or the referees, but what is in our hands, let’s make sure that we do it and I saw a different bite to our crowd, a different body language.
"We were on top of every ball, we created atmosphere with and without the ball and we had real purpose.
"We were screaming and going into every ball in a very different way and I must say that I loved it."
