A letter to Arsene Wenger

Eboue tried his best and the fans’ behaviour was shameful

A letter to Arsene Wenger

Arsenal v Wigan: ‘Utterly Devastating’

Dear Mr Wenger…

I shamefully regret that I witnessed the 'fans' treatment of Eboue on Saturday, it was THE worst thing that I have ever experienced at Arsenal in my 50 Arsenal years of support.

That would never have happened at Highbury and to have had to seen it on Saturday was utterly devastating.

Whether it's the so-called credit crunch and the 'fans' belief that our very well paid players are not working hard enough or the clowns at Sky TV constantly reminding everyone that we have not won anything for a [mere] three years, [Man Utd went 26 years, Chelsea 50 and Liverpool last won the title when exactly??], who knows?

We [myself, friends/family], all stood and applauded poor Eboue when he went off as he did his best and the embarrassment of hearing the undeserved jeers was so, so shameful.

Please pass this message on to him. It's important he knows that many fans feel this way.

However, I am devastated to say that something that has been long regarded as a Arsenal fine tradition shamefully died on Saturday afternoon.

I must also say that Arsenal should adopt a much more aggressive attitude when dealing with predatory teams, greedy players, evil agents, the media and disloyal fans. Let's hope that the new man at the helm quickly addresses these real problems & unnecessary weaknesses!

In my 55 years I have never written a communication like this but I'm so genuinely concerned about the current situation at Arsenal and right now the REAL Arsenal fans need to be heard.

Kind regards
David Harvey
