Do these people who have written articles complaining about Eboue being booed think that if they talk among themselves about the problems at Arsenal and applaud on matchdays (no matter what) that things will change? What planet are they on!
Arsene knows best, as most people like to say. He above all believes this. So is it likely he is going to take notice of the 'Eboue's a good lad, but perhaps there's some room for improvement' crowd, as opposed to very loud and public denouncement from at least half of the club’s season tickets holders quite obviously fed up to the back teeth with what is on offer?
He either bucks up his ideas or he doesn't play for us, end of. And who exactly are all these 'real' supporters to tell me what not to do. It really p***es me off to hear this in The Gooner, something you perhaps need to voice as there is a danger of this organ sounding more and more like an official AFC publication by the day!
Maybe it’s the way society is today, full of luvvies who cannot see that sometimes one needs to be 'hurt' for either one's own or the greater good. I went to Porto last week, and all I came back with was a much lighter bank balance and a severe bout of depression. Oh, and the sheer privilege of seeing Eboue and co. saunter around the pitch without a care in the world.
Ed’s note – Referring to your dismissal of The Gooner, there is no Gooner policy on this as such. On the website and in the issue we print what is contributed, which on this subject is a variety of views across the spectrum. If you think what’s in the issue and online is not dissimilar to the club’s official media channels… then I really don’t know what to say except that I wish the club’s output was more like that of Gooner contributors in terms of its honesty.
