I'm glad Arsenal don’t have silly money

Safe to assume there’ll be no counter bid for Kaka

I'm glad Arsenal don’t have silly money

Kaka: No guarantee of success

I for one am glad that Arsene doesn’t have a pot to p*ss in.

I am for once confident we will see a few signings in the next few weeks. £15 million for Arsharvin will probably be the biggest signing in Arsenal's history.

Kaka for £100 million!!! You’re having a laugh. Milan would be mad to turn this down for a 26 year old who, in my opinion, is already probably past his prime. I fear the silliness will not stop there. Ronaldo, Messi, Torres and even our own skipper has been linked to City’s spending spree.

So what would we do if they sent a fax to Ashburton with lots of zeros for Cesc? I hope it won't happen, but it would be tempting for any club. You could buy four, maybe five great players for that. What is even funnier than City paying mad money for one player is that they are still under the delusion that three or four big players will get them in the Champions League. They are a country mile from being a serious challenger for silverware, and throwing millions at it won't change that. Chelski have had limited success having spent probably over £300 million since the Russians invaded.

I'm hoping that Arsene has a new centre back on his shopping list. Upson would be welcome back. New goalkeeper would be nice too. Given was linked a few weeks back, but that seems to have died a death. Arsharvin is quality, but I’m still not convinced he would be up for a battle against some aggressive pie-eaters, who tend to kick anything in a red and white shirt and then try and call us cheats.

One player who never seems to get linked with anyone for some reason is Tim Cahill. I think he is probably the most under-rated yet best midfielders in the league. Brilliant header of the ball, good solid passer, and can put his foot in when needed. Worth a cheeky £10 million bid methinks.
