How much longer will Wenger persist with this clown?

The question on all Gooners’ lips this morning on their return to work. Credit to the other ten who managed to dig in and gain us a, what could be, valuable point… but undoubtedly Eboue cost us any realistic chance we had of getting all three points, which until the sending off looked a good bet, despite Tottenham’s possession. He has since apologized to his team-mates… what about a sorry to the fans?

Seems to me this guy has had a lot to be sorry for this season. I for one do not boo Eboue. That is not what this is about though. This is about a player who simply lacks the skill, poise, and self-control needed at the top level of English league football. And as for the play-acting every week, it has had me cringing with embarrassment.

He is no longer a liability but a running joke which the rest of the Premiership must be wheezing at. The only outcome of this farce must be to offload in the summer, but who in their right mind would buy him?

Atletico Madrid must see something we never see here. Let’s hope they return in July with a new bid. Maybe by some miracle, Wenger will have seen the light which is blinding Ashburton most weeks, and do the decent thing, by putting us and Eboue out of our collective misery.

As Eboue trudged of the Spuds’ pitch, I actually found myself thinking “shame it wasn’t a straight red, he’d be out for three games instead of one”. That’s not a healthy state of mind for a supporter of a team who has just had a player sent off.

That’s how bad things have got with this guy. Enough is enough.
