Le Boss: Time to instruct the players there is a time to forget keep-ball principles

Last night was without question the game of the season. It’s what fans pay their hard earned for. Brilliant goals, great skill and technique and above all else, passion to play for the shirts. When have gone 2-1 down, our heads would almost always drop and we would end up with a 4 or 5-1 drubbing. But last night we kept at it, put the Perm’s defence under pressure and a certain little fellow from St Petersburg did the rest.

Yet despite the fact we grabbed a very good point from a very loud Anfield last night, I feel robbed. Not by Liverpool, but by our laughable defenders, who have obviously never been introduced to ROW Z! 4-3 up, with three minutes’ injury time remaining, and we are still, trying to play out from the 18 yard box.

Now, we all love and admire the way Le Boss makes the team play total football, but every now and then, I believe the fans would forgive the players for just putting six laceholes through the f***ing thing and buying our creaking defence at least 30 seconds of breathing space.

We love the way we play and we wouldn’t change it for anything, but we would also like to see a little common sense from time to time.

Please Arsene, get this simple problem sorted. Twice this season we have ended 4-4 because we refuse to keep things simple at the vital point of a huge match. Last night again it cost us all three points. Next week it could cost us our season.
