So which player can you risk on the back of the new home shirt?

Will the club be pushing Fabregas and Nasri during the on sale?

So which player can you risk on the back of the new home shirt?

Will there be any of these on display tonight?

I see the new home short is being launched tonight

I hope they’re not doing player names on the back as they might be getting lots of returns if they are!

If you bought a new shirt would you put any of these on it:
Nasri
Fabregas
Clichy
Denilson
Bentdner
Arshavin
Eboue

None of them are guaranteed to be here next season.

And with no new signings to put on the back, realistically it’s going to be any one of four:
Van Persie
Wilshere
Ramsey
Vermaelen

I don’t include Walcott because he is rubbish and no sensible fan would want his name on their shirt anyway. I wish he was on the ‘out of the door’ list myself.
And Song? He should be too with that hair.
Sagna? You’re really hard pressed if he’s your star player!
Squillaci? You’re having a laugh
Koscielny? Do you want your mates who support other teams to laugh?
Djourou? Who would have this disaster prone giraffe’s name on their shirt?
Chamakh? Feel free if you want the name of the only striker in the world who turns round and goes back as soon as he sees the whites of the keeper’s eyes! What fun!
Diaby? Have you ever seen anyone with Diaby on the back of his shirt? I haven’t!

What a two and eight when the names to put on your shirt are limited to four and only one of them (possibly two if you include TV) is an established world class superstar.

And we’re supposed to be a big club!

The silence is deafening.

Mark my words Silent Stan’s regime will prove to be a disaster for Arsenal.

And you thought this last season was bad………

The end of season Gooner Survey closes for entries at the end of this Friday. You need to fill in the whole thing in one go, so maybe do not start submitting your entry unless you have half an hour to complete it. Just click here when you are ready to begin. One entrant will be selected at random to receive next season’s home replica shirt for their trouble.

Agree 100% with the article. By the way Two of Arsene's first signings must go down as the best. Petit and Viera. The likes of which the team could do with today.

Nice to see Ashley Young, a self confessed gooner is going tp join our biggest rivals for £15,000,000 and we don't not even make a bid....Wenger your policy of signing players with no affinity to our club is clearly not working as they just DO NOT CARE...Just sign some quality players for gods sake or leave and let someone come in who will bring back the clubs identity before it is lost forever.

Many of the opinions now seem to be expressed with much bitterness and spite. How many players would come to Arsenal, or even sign new contracts with Arsenal if they read the text from the online contibutors. Negativity, not helping!

Stan's reign will be a complete and utter failure. If you're going to sell out sell out to someone with the money require i.e. Usmanov.

John – how can you call yourself a fan when you hope we finish 6th? This summer is going to be busy and expect at least Gervinho & Samba. I don’t think he will sign anyone in midfield though, as frimpong is coming back.

jenkinson has 3 things going for him, hes young so can be improved/wengerised and sold for a profit, hes cheap, hes foreign. doesnt bode well for transfer window and hardly likely to convince nasri that we really mean business this summer

No sensible fan over the age of 12 should wear a replica shirt with a players name on anyway. What ever happened to dressing smart to go to football? Everyone at Arsenal looks like a ****ing club shop manikin these days.

totally agree. Jones was always going to chose Man U who have Rio and Vidic waiting there to show him the ropes and bed down alongside Smalling for the next succesful chapter in Fergy showing Wenger how a seamless transition to a new team is done. We are in for a painful summer and potentially very painful next season and seeds for all of this were sewn 3/4 years ago when being a PLC became more important than being the Arsenal that most of us always knew and loved

I am afraid that the 3 headers on the BBC sports page says it all. Phil Jones to manure for 17 million, Henderson to Liverpool for 20 million and Karl Jenkinson to us for £500,000. I feel physically sick. Move stadium, increase prices to record levels to compete in the transfer market. Up to a couple of years ago the wenger apologists would declare it a master stroke but now we can all see it for what it is. No disrespect to Jenkinson who maybe a decent prospect but this sort of signing is a non event and will convince neither fleeced gooners or the best players at the club who can denote our ambitions and contrast it to that of our rivals!

Laughing Stock To be honest which defender with a reputation or even a growing reputation would lay such credibilty as he has by joining Arsenal? The task of shoring up that defence, playing in front of a greenhorn keeper who's nowhere near ready to be a No1, one only half decent full back, the other a clown, one CB whos too small anyway and maybe injury prone, a midfield that goes missing, cant/wont use physicality and fails to cover its full backs and support its centre defence and on top of all this a Coach who doesnt rate defending yet allows his team to defend on the half way line. You could put Baresi and Bobby Moore in the middle of that bunch of dross and they would both look utter, Sunday league mugs. Decent defenders arent going to touch Arsenal with a bargepole in my view.

United have just signed one of the most talented English centre halves in the country in Phil Jones. Wenger wanted him and even had discussions but he went for United and who can blame him? the problem is we've been so obsessed with off-field performance that we are no longer marketable to top players becuase we win sweet FA and are now a total laughing stock. Full of french bottlers. We have got it all wrong. To cut huge sponsorship deals we need to be marketable as a football team. This is what the board are not getting through their thick skulls. We invest a bit of cash in team and the prize mone yof getting further up the league and further in the CL means more ££. This in turn means a bigger pool of the top players to pick from and increased interest from commercial activities. But no let's just increase ticket prices

Based on number of good games last season it's really only the first 2 names on your list that's worth having on your shirt. btw post 926 has forgotten Anelka in the top 10 signings. Without the huge profit on him we would not have bought some of the others. And he could play a bit as well.

For my kids I have refused to allow them to have any of the current squad as a name on their new shirt. We share a surname with a former Arsenal great so that's what is going to be this season. Would recommend likewise. None of the current squad deserve such adulation.

Hill Woods 'idiot' description is befitting anybody that buys merchandise such as shirts with all due respect guys. Anyway, i already have a name of my own and im happy enough with it all things being equal. Im not minded to make even more money for these over paid prima donna's by advertising names for them that im pretty sure i dont even pronunciate correctly half the time!

Anyone who puts any player on the shirt (and that goes for most clubs too) is taking a risk in these days of almost zero loyalty. Its the price you pay for having so many foreign players in the prem, also English players move less often because they cost more. I for one will not be buying this shirt anyway, when I see some investment in the team then I will invest in the merchandise

The club has taken the decision as to what name to print on the back of your shirts out of your hands. All shirts will come with the word IDIOT on the back to save confusion.

Hard to argue with any of that. Perhaps we could try some post modernist irony - I don't know if that's what this is but is sounds pretentious - and try any of the following :- 'Uniform Business Model' 'Attendance is 60104' 'Organic Growth' 'Hill-Wood' I'm sure the Club would be delighted to accommodate any of those choices.

I think Cesc would make the top 10 signings & RVP but no others, things have definitely ground to a halt since the move to the new stadium. Top 10 for me are: TH14, Pires, Ljungberg, PV4, Overmars, Sol Campbell, Petit, Gilberto, RVP, & Cesc.

19yr old Carl Jenkinson to sort out our defence. Arsene, .... Off. I hope we end up 6th and i dont blame cesc and nasri for wanting to leave. What a joke. Some fans will say its just a back up defender. Bollocks. We,re in decline big time
