As expected last week’s game was not exactly a goal fest and a tight 1-1 meant we hit at Bet365 picking up £120 profit there, so everyone’s balance with that bookie should now be £320 with a pending £200 cash bonus not yet released. At Betfair we had hedged so lost £107 there but that is the price we pay for the insurance of knowing we can’t lose. We will continue using Bet365 for the next few weeks (up to 12) until we either bust out or have completed the Bet365 wagering.
This weekend we travel away to a struggling Wigan team, fully expecting to take the three points. The Gunners are again clear favourites but after midweek cup disappointment and the failure to put away Fulham, the bookies have doubts on the current form and have put the odds on a Gunners win out to 1.57 at Bet365. Put £100 on this, a straight Arsenal win, for £57 profit if it comes in.
We will lay this bet for £80 at Betfair again. Currently the odds are 1.61 (that’s the pink box next to an Arsenal win) so that has £48.80 liability. This is another advantage of this bet as it won’t require huge funds in Betfair to cover it. (For new punters, if there is not enough to match your bet, make a note of the unmatched amount, cancel the unmatched portion, then go back to the available odds and bet the unmatched amount on the new odds - which won’t be far different - in the pink box.) So an Arsenal win is a net +£8.20 (or around that if you got slightly different odds) and we look for another next week. Or if we slip up a net -£20 but the £200 at Bet365 is now unlocked and can be used, and we again bet again next week this time with 10 games to go.
Again, please note that you cannot withdraw from Bet365 until £1200 of bets have been placed so do not try to do this as they will cancel the £200 bonus.
