Clichy: One ex-Gunner we won’t be seeing

We got the win against Everton but only just and unfortunately for us we had gone for the higher value over 2.5 goals bet. This did not come in meaning a £100 loss from Bet365 but picking up £80 in Betfair, which has at least eased liquidity issues there. Overall to date on this offer we now have a Net +£201 (£200+£13+£8-£20). We have a maximum of nine more bets to place, less if we "bust out".

This weekend we are away to Man City for arguably the toughest fixture of the season. Man City are top of the table for a reason and predictably go into the game as hot favourites. We will be backing Man City for a win here, basically as a way to ensure we are financially compensated for a loss, which may well happen. £100 at Bet365 on Man City to win at 1.7 will net us +£70 profit on that bet. At Betfair as usual to hedge the liability you can lay £80 at 1.74 which has £59.20 of potential loss.

Yet again and for all the bets here we are sticking to odds on events to increase the chance of winning as well as making sure it won’t require huge funds in Betfair to cover it. So a Man City win is a Net +£10:80 on the bet and we look for another next week. Or if we slip up a Net -£20 again and have a considerably lower Bet365 balance now than the peak, possibly with the chance to bust out soon, but it would mean that Arsenal must have got something from the game which will be good. Regardless we will bet again next week this time with 8 games to go.

Again, please note that you cannot withdraw from Bet365 until £1200 of bets have been placed, after this one we are 33% of the way there having wagered £400 so far.

Remember, "Why gamble when you can win".
