We lacked a little bit of............"accountability at the Club which means that these problems appear year after year without getting solved and I as manager do not need to address them"

Mark from Aylesbury, yes he walked away with that silly/sickening grin on his gob, I bet the second he got back to his office and closed the door the grin fell of his face and turned to rage and he kicked his chair and smashed his lamp of the table. wenger out tonight.

There he goes again deflecting away from the requirement to buy 2 or 3 quality players by talking about 300 million. It's this ability to go to an extreme that undermines him, it's the media's fault that the fans are upset. Why don't the media throw that back at him?? He is allowed to talk garbage and get away with it! His comments on Ramsey's injury are almost beyond belief. No player bought last summer, one major player this summer, no centre forward again and he asks why the media always want to talk transfers!!!!!!!!!!!! And another performance where we look like we could play all weekend and not score. The football is average, Wenger matches are won in penalty areas, hence goal scorers cost money!!

Jamee son - The Asano emporium sells a petrol-driven, three speed, Marc Almond endorsed stomach pump for your and cock-a-leekie's gastro-nightmare. Only $2,249.99 excluding VAT. They'll throw in a sailor's friend, dressed as a groundhog and some lube made from OGL's prolific mucus reservoir in order to help you both, erm, restore your natural equilibrium and get that caravan rockin' again.

Well I'm sure Wengo was very happy with his clever argument to the journo. It's all he's got left these days. Problem is top tier football is not comparable to local factories producing brackets , hinges, watching costs inherently cautious as that's the best way to survive. Most clubs now work like investment banks or partnerships speculating all the time looking to maximise return. Wengo is massively behind the curve and is a poor student having failed to identify significant markers like Saurez, Higuin, etc. I did previously suggest that losing the aways will be vital in the removal of Wengo. Looks like frustration and rage in building up in our away brethen. Wengo can be as pithy as he wants the guy has become an embarrassment

Oh great master Jamerson I did what you asked, I violated the digestive biscuits and fed them all to Leekey. We chanted the Magik words but again we have not won. Your prediction was hopeless, I fear your powers are waning ! Poor Leekey is very ill after eating all these biscuits and that' is why there has been a period of silence from our great intellectual thinker. When will I receive my earthly pleasures ? Where is my caravan you promised ? I fear our great master is displeased and will punish us. Oh Jamee give us a sign!

I went today. Our fans were the stars of the show. Such a pity the team lacks their drive and verve.A languid docile performance by players who for me looked half fit in the main. Not a Wiltshire nor a Kos fan but they made a difference to the slow, downbeat and passionless fayre on offer. Cant recall many Arsenal performances that was so lacking in threat, drive and penetration. PS - What an atmosphere the King Power is. Now where matches it and its brilliant for away fans.

The blokes a ****. He now talks of a £300'000 player if he was out there?. Lionel Messi springs to mind perhaps.. and probably for half that. That other **** Giroud came on for 15 minutes or so today, never heard his name mentioned on the ball.

Everything Rosie in Wenger world,Kos comes back, gets man of the match and keeps a clean sheet with Holding, formidable partnership formed, now time to put the cheque book away, job done!!!! What a drab insipid can't be arsed performance that was. If this is what we,ve got too look forward to this season then I,m hibernating. After 15 minutes it was clear that there was no 'plan' no pattern but simply playing 'off the cuff' like our previous greats like Robert and Dennis were able to all those years ago! If anybody thinks that the Wig will employ somebody such as Simeone or anybody else with an independent mind then sadly you are deluded! Nothing will change until the Wig AND Clown are gone! The media Clown apologists are now beginning to grate somewhat!

Not a bad result , lucky on second penalty shout but the better side in open play. What was worrying was the lack of cutting edge, even when Giroud is fit we will struggle to break down massed defences, but then we already knew that, and Wenger himself commented on it time and time again last year. With the obvious improvement in Chelsea and the Manc clubs I see us at best finishing fourth. Would be a fitting end to Wengers period in charge. out out out

A fortunate point won thanks to Clatterbugs leniency is my view on the game. Clumsy Coq is an accident waiting to happen he was very fortunate not to get a second yellow card .Boring match and it's difficult to see how either side will finish first or second in the league again. The dreaded dead duck in the water manager syndrome looks to already have kicked in with our lot looking as though they are going through the motions like City players and United ones did last season when they knew their managers were away in May. Will Wengo survive beyond Christmas if that top 4 trophy looks in danger >?Panic stations could set in with Syrupy and co and Wengo's contract will nearly have run out by December - so no big bucks compo involved to get shut of the dithering old fool .Bould could stand in until a new man is found .Simeone looks like the sort we could do with . It really has become so boring and stale with the same old rubbish being wheeled out by Clueless yet again.( yawn)

Absolutely loving this season! The new rules of ref's clamping down on shirt pulling is causing mayhem after Mike Dean's performance at Stoke today. Setting the stall out for the season where some shirt pulling will be given, and some won't. Can't wait for first stage pulling to be missed but the retaliation pulling picked on and penalties given. I hear Untold are advertising for a Referee Review Assistant to help out with their reports with this new ruling. On today's game, Untold are still hammering Clatenburg for not booking simulation by the Leicester players. BT Sport bias was awful. Leicester penalties and a red card for Coquelin? What game were they watching? And then capped off with a Wenger interview worried that transfer fees could jeopardise programme sellers and Gunnersaurus getting paid? Loving it!

So, anyway, I watched this one through the prism (jism?) of the BT Sport coverage. Betwixt a mildly perturbed Owen, and a predictably histrionic Savage, arguing the toss like a pair of Lost Boys from Never Never Land over Mark "Clatts" Clattenburg's non - award of a fairly certain penalty, there sat a glum - looking and oddly undemonstrative Ian Wright. Now, I'm hopefully not silly enough to chart the progress of a season using a compass driven by the emotional state of Ian Wright, that way lies certain shipwreck. However, despite his many clownish traits, Wright is a true supporter of the team's progress and fom, and I'd wager he's feeling close to similar about the state of affairs that most of us on here seem to be. A quick one on Xhaka - he was a step above his Gladbach team mates, but those of you that follow Bundesliga will know that there are one or two players in each of that half - dozen or so group of clubs behind Bayern and Dortmund that are a cut above who they're playing with, but don't always strike it big when they move up a level. Not all turn out to be a DeBruyne. Finally, gag of the day goes to Savage, talking about how "it's hard to give penalties in modern football, what with the greasy pitches"...seriously, what on earth is he going on about? The surface at the new Leicester stadium has been rated as one of the best in the league, is he reaching his back down into his pants to reminisce about the bog at Filbert Street that he used to run around on like a headless chicken or what ??!!

    Aug 20, 2016, 18:45 #92037

I agree with you Bromley Boy and also as Wenger said above we "lack a bit of experience" (yes because they are on the bench Ozil, Giroud)and "power in the final third" (yes because Theo is centre attack not where he should be on the wing). And it is still 0-0 after 56 minutes. He will probably substitute Santi for Gibbs to save a point.

Wengo's constant whinging about 'lacking sharpness' - he uses other words at times claiming the same - after a poor performance, is glaringly obviously down to his own management skills - or rather a lack of any. He really does look well out of date these days with every passing ( yawn) season . Today's result whatever it is will not change that fact. Neither will it change the comments or excuses that Wengo comes out with in his post match interviews .We will either have lacked sharpness or showed great belief and mental spireeeeeet ... You couldn't make it up.

Blaming fans is as pathetic as blaming refs. Perhaps that's why Keown is a pundit not a manager. Shameful these guys like Wenger so steer away from asking tough questions. The Same for the press why don't they ask difficult questions, such as when Wenger try's to turnaround the transfer policy arguing no one is happy unless we buy loads of players and spend loads of money, the response should be the fans have never called for that just 2 or 3 players added to the squad, players you want, you've scouted and bought before the jumble sale starts....

  33. goonersol

    Aug 20, 2016, 13:15 #92024

Keown : Of course its the fans fault, its the fans who did not arrange defensive cover, its the fans who put a young rookie in central defence, its the fans who put Chambers in with only 2 PL games last season, its the fans who did not buy a quality striker, its the fans who ensured the team was not prepared for the new season.... Cant understand why these pundits/experts don't call it as it is, instead of looking for excuses to validate Wenger leadership...

How about the team lacked a little support? Just saw Keowne on Football Focus and he seems to be blaming the fans a little for last weekend for not getting behind the team? With all these negative quotes he will be upsetting untold and may even be banned. It shows he is aware of the problems with the squad but he either will not or cannot think of a way to address them.Wenger is like an addicted gambler his stock gets lower and lower while he chases that big win.The worst thing that happened in the summer was him being touted for the England job which just fed his self belief.Rather then feed his delusion with another contract someone needs to put an arm around him and say enough is enough Arsene it is time to leave. As the song goes" You've got to know when to hold them ,know when show them, know when to walk away when the deal is done".And it is done.

All the above traits that we are lacking were available in this transfer market and all previous transfer markets too, and very often at a reasonable price, only wenger and arsenal could identify such a long list of deficiencies and then do nothing about it despite having hundreds of millions in the bank and despite charging its 'customers' the highest admission prices in world football....kroenke, gazidis, wenger lying parasites each one, just f*** off and let us have our club back

  39. Rob

    Aug 20, 2016, 10:35 #92017

What we don't lack :- Two hundred million pounds in cash. A willingness to pay Wenger £8.5 million of it. And Gazedis north of £3 million of it. An intense desire to whine at the fourth official when we are losing. Sky high ticket prices. An excuse for every occasion. A hand break that frequently lacks a release mechanism. A fan base, a substantial segment of which ignores all this and only exists to sing 'There's only one Arsene Wenger. And in that observation they are undoubtedly correct.
