Star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang insists Arsenal have to convince him to sign a new deal – as he faces a ‘turning point’ in his career.
The Arsenal captain, who will be 31 this week has a contract with the north London club which is set to expire next summer.
Aubameyang, who joined the Gunners from Borussia Dortmund in January 2018 for a club record fee of around £56m, could leave for nothing this time next year.
Asked whether he had received an offer of a new deal by Arsenal, Aubameyang told French media outlet Telefoot: "I haven't had any offers recently, of course, but I did speak to the club quite a few months ago, and they know why nothing has happened yet.
"The ball is in their court now, so it's down to them to do their bit and we'll see how it goes.
"It's a turning point in my career and I want to be honest with everyone: It'll certainly be a very difficult decision to make and I haven't yet made it.
"We'll see. I think it might be the most important choice of my career. Every competitive player dreams of winning trophies.
"It's important. People will ask, 'Does he want to win them at Arsenal or somewhere else?'
"Time will tell. The ball is in the club's court.
"I certainly want to win trophies and everyone knows that. Regardless of my choice, I'll keep fighting to win trophies."
Arsenal utility man Ainsley Maitland-Niles could be sold this summer in a bid to fund a new contract for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The Gunners value the Hale End Academy graduate at around £20m after making his first team debut in a Champions League match at Galatasary in December 2014 as a raw 17-year-old. More here...
