A very warm welcome to the Gooner Fanzine's live blog as Arsenal take on Southampton.
We'll have all the action from St Mary's as the Gunners try to turn their form around following disappointing defeats to Manchester City and Brighton.
Make sure to leave your thoughts on the game in the comments at the bottom of the page. We'd love to hear from you.
- Arteta names an attacking team.
- Ozil and Lacazette on the bench. Guendouzi left out of the squad.
- Aubameyang hits the bar and Nketiah has an early goal ruled out inside 10 minutes.
- Nketiah gives Arsenal the lead after McCarthy's mistake on 20 minutes.
Goals from Nketiah and Willock secure a much-needed win for the Gunners, who looked far more solid this evening in a confidence-boosting display. That's all for the live blog, thanks for tuning in and make sure to read the Gooner website for all the reaction to an important win. Enjoy your evening!
Full-time - Southampton 0-2 Arsenal
93'- SAVE! Aubameyang works space on the edge of the box and curls a shot at goal which McCarthy keeps out. 0-2
87'- GOAALLLL ARSENAL! Lacazette takes the free-kick, it hits the wall and McCarthy saves his second effort, but Willock is there to turn the ball home and that should seal it. 2-0 to the Gunners!
85'- RED CARD! Stephens is sent off for Southampton as he brings down Aubameyang with the striker through on goal. That's a big boost for Arsenal. 0-1
79'- Arsenal make two more changes. Nketiah and Ceballos off, Lacazette and Maitland-Niles on. 0-1
78'- CHANCE! Long gets onto a ball over the top and fires a powerful shot at goal. Martinez does well to save and then smother the second ball. Southampton starting to threaten now. 0-1
73'- CHANCE! A cross falls to Redmond at the far post, and the Southampton winger fires a volley into the side netting. Warning signs for Arsenal there. 0-1
69'- Tierney can't continue and is replaced by Kolasinac. Thankfully the Scot looked like he was just suffering from cramp. 0-1
68'- Armstrong finds some room but can only fire his shot over from the edge of the box for Southampton. Drinks break taking place now as Tierney gets some treatment. 0-1
67'- Holding heads away another ball into the Arsenal the box. I've lost count of how many he's got his head on, but he's been immense at the back for Arteta's side. 0-1
64'- First change for Arsenal. Pepe - who has been disappointing - is replaced by Willock. 0-1
58'- SHOT! Arsenal break in numbers as they flood forward. Pepe sees his cross blocked, it falls to Bellerin but Bertrand gets out well to block his powerful drive. 0-1
54'- CHANCE! Martinez picks out Aubameyang in acres of space on the left with a superb pace. The striker tries to square for Nketiah, but a Southampton defenders slides in to block and the ball goes just the wrong side of the post. Better from Arsenal. 0-1
51'- Southampton surge forward in one of their best moves of the match, but it ends with Ward Prowse curling a shot over the bar from outside the box. 0-1
49'- Looks like Saka vs Walker Peters might be an interesting battle in this second-half. The Southampton man does well to get down the right, but the Arsenal youngster deals with the danger. 0-1
47'- Saka goes into the book for a late challenge on half-time substitute and Tottenham loanee Walker-Peters. 0-1
46'- Arsenal get the second-half underway at St Mary's. Can they build on their lead and secure all three points? 0-1
Arsenal lead at the break through Nketiah's goal on 20 minutes after McCarthy's mistake for Southampton, and they have looked solid and assured at the back. Xhaka, Tierney and Saka have been the standout performers so far. What did you make of the first-half?
Half-time - Southampton 0-1 Arsenal
46'- CHANCE! Pepe plays Nketiah through on goal, he has Aubameyang to his left but the striker pokes it well wide. A few of his teammates are unhappy with his decision to shoot instead of passing there. Good opportunity but it stays 0-1.
40'- Southampton look to get in down the Arsenal right with Bertrand, but Bellerin does well to get across and make a good tackle inside the area. The back five being used by the Gunners certainly makes them look more solid. 0-1
36'- Bit of a lull in the action at St Mary's after a bright start from Arsenal. The decrease in tempo is understandable considering the heat on the south coast. 0-1
29'- Back underway after the drinks break and I've got another Nketiah stat for you. His goal makes him the first-ever Arsenal player to score away at Portsmouth and Southampton in the same season. 0-1
24'- Ward-Prowse finds space and curls an effort at goal, but Martinez gets down to save for Arsenal. That's the last action before the drinks break. They'll need it in this heat. 0-1
24'- Good stat from the Gooner's Layth Yousif. Nketiah's strike is only the third goal Arsenal have scored in a competitive match in the month of June after Pepe last week at Brighton. And Ian McPherson against Sheffield United on June 7, 1947. 1-0
20'- Arsenal have the lead, but what have you made of their start so far?
20'- GOAALLLL ARSENAL! Nketiah gets the opener! Southampton goalkeeper McCarthy gets caught on the ball, Nketiah blocks his clearance and taps into an empty net. 1-0 to the Arsenal and it's deserved after a bright start.
18'- The Gunners have been positive in the opening stages of this game and the returning Xhaka has been at the centre of it, driving forward and dictating play. Arteta will be pleased to have him back. 0-0
16'- Saka is up and seems to be carrying on, although he's moving quite gingerly. Has Arsenal's luck with injuries finally changed? 0-0
14'- Saka goes down in a lot of pain after a hefty challenge on the right-hand side. The youngster is getting treatment and Arteta will be hoping this isn't yet another serious injury. 0-0
12'- Mustafi goes into the book for a foul on Ings. 0-0
10'- CLOSE! Some really good openings for Arsenal in the past few moments. Aubameyang is played through and thumps the ball against the bar. Nketiah has also had a goal ruled out for offside. 0-0
6'- Arsenal look to be playing with a back three of Holding, Mustafi and Bellerin, with Saka and Tierney as wing-backs. 0-0
1'- Nervy moment for Arsenal early on as they fail to deal with a cross from the left and the ball falls to Ings, but he can't get it out of his feet and the Gunners clear. 0-0
1'- Southampton get the game underway at St Mary's. 0-0

Teams are allowed water breaks in the middle of each half as part of the Premier League's new rules for Project Restart. I think Arsenal and Southampton will be grateful for that considering today's scorching weather!
10 minutes till kick-off at St Mary's as Arsenal take on Southampton.
Mikel Arteta has been speaking about his decision to leave Matteo Guendouzi out of the squad, saying: "It is squad management. Whatever internal issue we have, we deal with it privately."
I selected a trio of players who could make the difference for Arsenal against Southampton this evening, and all three start! Find out who I picked here https://www.onlinegooner.com/articles/view/5176
It's good to see yet another Arsenal youngster coming through the ranks as Matthew Smith makes the first-team squad for the first time. The club's website describes him a: "A composed midfielder with an eye for a pass." He captained the U18 side to the Premier League South title in 2018/19, playing every minute of the campaign and assisting 14 goals.
The Gooner Fanzine's Layth Yousif is at St Mary's to cover the game this evening and he claims it's one of the hottest games he's been to. I'm glad to be sat at home in front of a fan, to be honest.
With just under 45 minutes to kick-off at St Mary's, we want to know your score predictions. Will Arsenal get back to winning ways or will it be another miserable day for Mikel Arteta's men.

Arsenal will be in a changed kit of all yellow for this evening's game. Fans of a certain age will remember Ian Wright netting a hat-trick against Southampton whilst wearing all yellow back in 1991.
History certainly doesn't favour Arsenal this evening, having lost three of their last five Premier League meetings with Southampton. The Gunners have only won twice on the road this season too, but the Saints have lost nine home games in the league in 2019/20, more than any other top-flight side.
Arsenal have confirmed that Granit Xhaka is in the matchday squad for this evening's game. Are you glad to see the midfielder back from injury?
We will have team news from St Mary's in around 20 minutes time, but we already know a number of key players will be missing for Arsenal tonight. David Luiz is suspended, while Bernd Leno, Pablo Mari and Gabriel Martinelli are all out for the rest of the season. Lucas Torreira, Granit Xhaka and Sokratis could return though in what would be a big boost for the Gunners. Dani Ceballos is also available after extending his loan from Real Madrid. Let us know who you would like to see start tonight in the comments below!
