Torreira-Diawara swap on the cards
Arsenal are keen on a swap deal that would see Roma's Amadou Diawara move to the Emirates, with Lucas Torreira going in the other direction.
Reports in Italy claimed that the Giallorossi wanted to sign Torreira this summer and were willing to offer the Guinea midfielder in exchange.
The Telegraph are now reporting that the Gunners would be interesting in making that deal happen, but nothing is at an advanced stage yet.
Ceballos future unclear
Dani Ceballos may not return to Arsenal next season according to reports in Spain.
The Real Madrid man impressed during his loan spell at the Emirates and Mikel Arteta was reportedly keen to bring him back to the club, but he could now stay with Los Blancos according to Mundo Deportivo.
Zinedine Zidane was initially keen to move Ceballos on, but the coronavirus pandemic has changed the club's plans and the Spanish midfielder's future could depend on the sale of James Rodriguez.
Ozil set for Arsenal stay
Mesut Ozil has revealed he will stay with Arsenal this summer and see out the final year of his contract in north London.
In an interview with The Athletic, the German said: "My position is clear. I’m here through to the last day of our agreement and I’ll give everything I have for this club.
"I didn’t sign for two or three years, I signed for four and that should be respected by everyone.
"Things have obviously been difficult but I love Arsenal, I love to work there, I love the people in the club — the real people, those I’ve been with for a long time — and I love London, it’s my home.
"When a player wants to leave and the club says no, the player must accept it unless they find a solution together. So when a club wants a player to leave and the player says no, the club must accept it unless a solution can be found together. I don’t want to leave, so that’s it."
Lyon make Aouar exit admission
Lyon sporting director Juninho has admitted Arsenal target Houssem Aouar could leave the club this summer.
A number of top European clubs are reportedly chasing the midfielder, with Juninho revealing they could cash in on the exciting Frenchman.
"Houssem Aouar? When you have great players in the squad, it is quite logical that other bigger teams with greater economic power come to seek the players," Juninho told RMC Sport.
"There is a risk of losing important players. If we lose important players, I have already spoken with the president, we will have the right to balance the workforce."
