Gabriel set for Arsenal
Arsenal seem to have finally got their man, with L'Equipe reporting Gabriel Magalhaes will join the Gunners from Lille.
Mikel Arteta's side had been involved in an intense battle with Napoli to sign the Brazilian, but the north Londoners look set to secure the 22-year-olds signature for a fee of £22 million.
Gabriel will sign a five-year deal at the Emirates and an official announcement is expected in the coming days.
Gunners see Aouar bid rejected
Arsenal have seen a £44 million plus Matteo Guendouzi offer for Houssem Aouar rejected by Lyon, claim L'Equipe.
The 22-year-old has impressed in Ligue 1 and the Champions League this season drawing the interest of top European clubs.
The Gunners have seen their initial offer rejected, but are expected to up their offer soon as they are desperate to land Aouar.
Arsenal are keen to include Guendouzi in the offer again as they look to offload the exiled Frenchman.
Lyon sporting director Juninho has admitted Aouar could leave, telling RMC Sport: "There will be departures, but I am not worried. When you have players who play very well in a competition like this, like Moussa Dembélé and Houssem Aouar."
Spurs consider shock Maitland-Niles move
The Daily Mail claim Tottenham could make a shock £20 million swoop to sign Arsenal's Ainsley Maitland-Niles.
The Gunners could sell the versatile 22-year-old to raise funds this summer, with Brighton among the interested clubs, but now north London rivals Spurs could make a move.
Arteta would like to keep hold of Maitland-Niles though, and Arsenal would likely be against strengthening a big six rival.
Sokratis eyed by Roma
Sokratis looks set to leave Arsenal and return to Serie A, with Roma eyeing a move for the defender.
Napoli are also interested in the Greek international, but they look set to be rivalled by the Rome-based side.
Sokratis has been told he is not part of Arteta's plans for next season and could return to Italy having played for AC Milan and Genoa earlier in his career.
