BREAKING: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang signs new three year deal with Arsenal.

It's official, the worst kept secret in football has finally been revealed.

Arsenal captain Aubameyang has put pen to paper on a new three year deal with the club on Tuesday afternoon.

The striker netted 29 goals in 44 appearances in all competitions last season, grabbing a pair twice in last month's FA Cup final triumph against Chelsea.

He has continued his excellent form this season, scoring against Liverpool in the Community Shield as Mikel Artetea's resurgent Gunners lifted the trophy on penalties.

“Signing for this special club was never in doubt," Auba said. "It’s thanks to our fans, my team-mates, my family and everybody at this club that I feel like I belong here. I believe in Arsenal. We can achieve big things together. We have something exciting here and I believe the best is to come for Arsenal.”

I note that when the “Big Name” would sit down with Grandpa Wenger you knew it’d be an exit out. Funny that with Arteta they want to stay . I wonder why?

Brilliant. The good news keeps rolling in. Just over 10 years ago, a certain erstwhile manager described the return to fitness of T Walcott as akin to a "new signing". He trotted this line out numerous times and we laughed (with gallows humour). Well this feels nothing like that and Kroenkephobe junior and I are f*ckin delighted. Up the Gunners!
