Full-time at Anfield. Liverpool 3-1 Arsenal. The Gunners stuck at it, but the champions just have too much for Arteta's side. Lacazette gave them the lead, but Mane, Robertson and Jota secure all three points
88'- GOAL Liverpool. Game over now. Arsenal have plugged away but the Reds have wrapped it up now. Luiz heads away a cross but it's straight to Jota who finds the bottom corner from the edge of the box. 3-1
83'- CHANCE! Salah slides a ball through for Jota who has time to pick his spot, but he can only hit the side netting. Still 2-1
74'- Final change for Arsenal as Nketiah replaces Lacazette. 2-1
69'- Second Arsenal change. Pepe on for Willian. 2-1
68'- Booking for Bellerin for blocking off Mane, despite the fact referee Craig Pawson waved play on when Fabinho committed a similar offence seconds earlier. 2-1
63'- HUGE CHANCE! Arsenal should be level. Ceballos slips through Lacazette who is onside this time, but Alisson makes a big save to keep Liverpool ahead. The Frenchman should score. 2-1 still
60'- First Arsenal change. Xhaka off, Ceballos on. 2-1
59'- CHANCE! Willian slips a lovely ball through to Lacazette who is one-on-one with Alisson, but the Frenchman's chip is poor and goalkeeper saves. The offside flag is up anyway. 2-1
55'- Arsenal being far more positive in this second half. They are seeing more of the ball, getting players forward and trying to press Liverpool higher up the pitch. They just need to create some chances now. Still 2-1
48'- Mane breaks down the right and blasts a shot over Leno's crossbar. 2-1
46'- Back underway at Anfield. 2-1
A change that could help Arsenal going forward would be Pepe for Willian. The Brazilian has seen little of the ball, offered little going forward and failed to track Robertson's run for Liverpool's second goal. Pepe would add a spark for the Gunners on the break and help them get at Liverpool's high defensive line.
Half-time at Anfield. Liverpool 2-1 Arsenal. The Gunners will be thankfully for the whistle. Lacazette gave them the lead, but Liverpool have been brilliant and their relentless pressing has left Arteta's side breathless. Mane and Robertson have the Reds ahead at the break, but it could have been more. Arsenal will have to put in some second-half display to turn this around.
42'- Arsenal finally get on the ball and Willian is found in space on the right. Van Dijk clears his cross and then the offside flag goes up. 2-1
35'- Arsenal really struggling to deal with Liverpool's movement at the moment. Runners in and around the penalty area every time they go forward and the Gunners just can't get a grip on the game. They really need half time here, and they really need to keep the score down before they get there. 2-1
34'- GOAL Liverpool. The champions have turned it around at Anfield as Robertson makes up for his error at the other. It's one full-back to the other as Alexander-Arnold finds an unmarked Roberton who takes a touch and turns the ball past Leno. 2-1
28' GOAL Liverpool. Arsenal weren't ahead for long and Arteta will be very frustrated. Salah beats Tierney down the right and shoots. Leno saves, but he only pushes the ball into Mane's path who turns home the equaliser. 1-1 at Anfield.
25'- GOOOOOAALLLLL ARSENAL! The Gunners go forward for the first time and take the lead, thanks to a bit of help from Robertson. Maitland-Niles gets forward down the right and crosses towards Willian. Robertson tries to clear but spoons the ball up in the air for Lacazette to turn and shoot past Alisson. 1-0 to The Arsenal!
24'- CHANCE! Arsenal try to play out from the back but get themselves into trouble as Luiz gives it away on the edge of the box. It breaks to Wijnaldum but his low shot is saved by Leno. 0-0
21'- OFF THE BAR! Liverpool inches away from the opener as a corner breaks to Alexander-Arnold on the edge of the box. His shot is deflected and it comes back off the crossbar. Arsenal get away with one. 0-0
15'- CHANCE! First opportunity for Liverpool as Mane meets Alexander-Arnold's low cross, but his powerful effort is straight at Leno who makes the save to keep the game level. 0-0
13'- Holding makes another block, this time from a Keita shot. The resulting corner is low and Salah meets it, but turns the ball well over the bar. 0-0
11'- Liverpool break into the Arsenal box with Robertson on the left, but Holding gets across to block. Van Dijk then has a chance from the corner but Luiz gets the ball away. 0-0
10'- Arsenal keeping their shape well so far but yet to have any chances. Mikel Arteta's well-drilled Gunners must remain patient though. 0-0
3'- Booking for Mane as he puts his elbow into Tierney's face. The Liverpool man is very lucky not to see red there. 0-0
1'- Arsenal get the game underway at the Anfield. 0-0
Mikel Arteta to Sky Sports on why Gabriel has been left out: "He has done really well, adapted really well. He’s played a few games already with us. David [Luiz] has huge experience and has played here many, many times. He gives us something different."
The teams are out at Anfield. Kick-off is moments away.
Roy Keane speaking on Sky Sports about Mikel Arteta and Arsenal: "He's done brilliantly. He's changed the culture there and it's certainly been a good start for him. The signs are better and they will be a threat tonight, but I still worry about them defensively."
As for Arsenal, Kieran Tierney's return provides a big boost, while David Luiz, Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Mohamed Elneny come into the team. Gabriel, Bukayo Saka, Sead Kolasinac and Bukayo Saka drop to the bench after starting against West Ham. There is no place on the bench for Mesut Ozil, Matteo Guendouzi, Reiss Nelson or Joe Willock.
Mikel Arteta will be relieved to see Thiago miss out for Liverpool, with Spaniard missing out through a 'minor fitness issue' according to the Reds' official Twitter account.
Arsenal will need a special performance tonight if they are to beat Liverpool at Anfield. The Gunners haven't won there since 2012 when goals from Lukas Podolski and Santi Cazorla secured a 2-0 win for Arsene Wenger's side. The last time the sides met at Anfield, they played out a 5-5 thriller in the League Cup, with the Reds winning on penalties.
