Arsenal head to Brighton on the back of an impressive 3-1 victory over Chelsea at the Emirates on Boxing Day.
Pressure was eased on belaguered boss Mikel Arteta after his young side ended their seven-match winless league run.
The fixture will mark Seagulls' boss Graham Potter's 100th league match as a boss in English football.
Arsenal face Potter's side that have won just once in 13 league fixtures, drawing seven and losing on five occasions, having taken only 17 points from 15 games - which represents Albion's worst start to a top flight season.
Ironically, Brighton's only home triumph in 16 league matches in 2020 was June's 2-1 victory over Arsenal. Since then they have drawn eight times and suffered seven defeats.
Albion are unbeaten in six games against teams in the bottom half of the table, winning once and drawing five, although the home side have lost their final game of a calendar year just once in seven seasons.
Arsenal's win over the Blues was full of youthful passion and bundles of energy. Experienced senior pro's Granit Xhaka and Hector Bellerin also stepped up after patchy form and indiscipline.
It’s all about consistency now, and the win over Chelsea - however satisfying - will mean nothing if it isn’t backed up with three points on the south coast later tonight.
