Martin Odegaard has revealed that he sought advice from Premier League stars before moving to Arsenal on loan from Real Madrid in January. 

The Norway international, who joined the Bernabeu outfit as a teenage prodigy has been in fine form for Mikel Arteta's side, scoring in the last two home games, against Olympiacos and Spurs. 

The 22-year-old admitted he received advice from Everton’s Josh King and Sheffield United’s Sander Berge about the Premier League. “They had only good things to say about the league and everything here – they told me a lot of good things," said Odegaard about Sander and Josh.

“The Premier League is really big in Norway so I grew up watching it every week and everyone in Norway follows the league so closely. It’s a dream to be able to play here.”

Odegaard’s impressive performances could also see him extend his spell at the Emirates.

The Gunners are already exploring the possibility of another loan for next term.
