Arsenal were routed 5-0 by Manchester City at the Etihad. 

Mikel Arteta's ten-men were utterly outclassed by Manchester City as they slumped to the bottom of the Premier League.

The defeat makes it three on the bounce this season, and the first time since 1954 that the Gunners have lost their opening trio of matches games at the start of a league campaign.

Bernd Leno (GK) 3/10: Indecisive for the first goal and left in no man's land with Gundogan's header. Made a few saves later on but praising him for those in light of such a humiliating defeat is akin to hailing the menu on the Titanic. 

Cedric Soares (RWB) 3/10:  Booked. Not good enough. Had a torrid time trying to deal with Grealish and later Sterling.

Calum Chambers (CB) 1/10: Defensive poor, positionally all at sea. Not strong enough or courageous enough to play as a centre-back Premier League centre-back. Although he hasn't impressed at right-back either during his Gunners career. If we can see that why can't Arteta? It's not as if Chambers is a new signing for heavens sake. He's been at the club for seven years. Seven. 

Rob Holding (CB) 3/10: Not sure why we expect more from Holdng but we do. Failed dismally at the Etihad. Completely lost Torres for the fifth goal but the damage was done in the first half when he failed to deal with City or organise his colleagues

Sead Kolasinac (CB) 1/10: The eighth highest wage earner at the club. Let that sink in

Kieran Tierney (LWB) 4/10: City were more prominent down the other flank. A fact I'm sure Arsena'ls left-back will be silently relieved about 

Martin Odegaard (CM) 3/10: Like taking a Rolls Royce into battle. Unable to influence proceedings

Granit Xhaka (CM) Minus -10: An utter disgrace to himself, his teammates, his manager, his club and the fans. Lacks discipline to an almost cowardly extent. Failed to relish the battle and decided the afternoon would be far easier if he absented himself from the fray. And to think someone signed off on a new and lucrative long-term deal. He and his contract epitomise absolutely everything that is wrong with the club right now. 

Bukayo Saka (RW) 4/10: Sacrificed tactically after Xhaka's disgrace. Arsenal should be building a team round this lad, not breaking his heart

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (ST) 1/10: There was a hugely instructive moment early on that was indicative of his performance. Ederson had taken the ball out of the box but was still assessing his options. The Arsenal captain was 15 yards away. A short sprint in the general direction of the City goalkeeper would have closed him down and shown intent. But Aubameyang simply couldn't be arsed. Like the rest of his performance. It's one thing saying the right things after a game, but, sometimes, actions really do speak louder than words

Emile Smith Rowe (LW) 3/10: Ineffective. But not surprising considering he was offered no support.

Substitutes:  

Mohamed Elneny (CM) 2/10: Brought on at the interval to fill the central midfield void prompted by Xhaka’s red card. Struggled 

Alexandre Lacazette (ST) 2/10: His performance was as anonymous as his introduction. It is a damming indictment of Arteta's Arsenal in that when one 'star' centre-forward replaced another in captain Aubemayang, literally no-one inside the ground noticed. Or cared. Anonymous

Ainsley Maitland-Niles (CM) 2/10: Why is he still at the club if he doesn't want to play right back? Because, midfield is not for him
