Arsenal are reportedly set to lose sporting director Edu Gaspar following talks with the club’s hierarchy.
Edu, a former Gunners midfielder, took the role as technical director in 2019 and has closely supported Mikel Arteta, becoming sporting director three years later.
The Brazilian has overseen the club’s recruitment, with the likes of Martin Odegaard and Declan Rice signed during his tenure.
His role has also overseen Arsenal Women, who remain in the hunt for head coach Jonas Eidevall’s replacement following the Swede’s departure last month.
Edu has reportedly taken the decision himself to leave his role as sporting director, with more details expected to emerge in the coming days.
Arsenal take on Inter Milan on Wednesday in the UEFA Champions League, following a lacklustre 1-0 defeat away to Newcastle at the weekend.
