Right, a few shorts to get through…

The never ending Arsènal book signing tour hits Stevenage

Okay, 12 noon tomorrow (Saturday), Waterstones in Stevenage. My co-author Alex Fynn will be signing copies of our book, ‘Arsènal: The Making of a Modern Superclub’. Due to the risk of my giving any would-be punters this godawful bug I am currently enduring, my own presence is a long shot, but if I make a Lazarus style recovery I’ll join him. The store is located in a shopping centre called The Forum – postcode is SG1 1ES if you want to look it up on streetmap. If you can’t make it on the day, but wish to reserve a signed copy, then phone 01438 745986. If you want to know more about the book including an offer to buy a discounted copy online, go to the bottom of this page…

Er, actually, so is number 15! 16 was recorded on Monday evening earlier this week, 15 was what was left over from 14 – recorded the Monday after the West Brom game way back when. Don’t ask. Anyway, in the latest edition, topics for discussion include Why the team performed so poorly against Hull, whether the players care about Arsenal and the wisdom of signing Mikael Silvestre. Also, are there divisions in the playing squad and the improvement in Theo Walcott’s form.

Spurs joke

A lot of photo funnies and financial stories have done the email rounds about our friends from the Lane. Here’s one that tickled me…

I was in the pub Saturday night and next to me was a guy with the sweetest looking dog imaginable. When the Tottenham score was read out on TV this dog went berserk. It started growling and barking, even tried to bite a couple of people nearby.
I said, “Bloody hell mate, what’s that all about?”
He replied, “Oh he does that every time Tottenham lose”
I said, “Well what happens when they win?”
He replied, “ F**k knows, I’ve only had him six months!”
