Arsènal: Still flogging the not yet deceased horse!

Right, a few shorts to get through…

The Arsènal book signing tour without end hits St Albans

No sleep till Hammersmith, as someone once said. This one’s at 12 noon tomorrow (Saturday), at Waterstones in St Albans. If you want to know more about the book including an offer to buy a discounted copy online, go to the bottom of this page…

I’d walk a million miles, for one of your goals, Van Persieeeeeeeee

Well, ten anyway. The infamous Maidstone Arsenal Supporters Club (Frank Stubbs and company), have asked us to tell you about a fundraising event that you’re welcome to become a part of, or contribute to. On Sunday with Arsenal away to West Ham United at 4pm, they are raising money for the Teenage Cancer Trust, by walking from the Emirates Stadium to Upton Park. The say that “The route has been carefully planned to keep it as interesting, as direct and as safe(!) as possible - the total distance is 10 miles. Departure from Emirates Stadium will be at 9.30am sharp, and it would be fantastic if as many Arsenal fans as possible could join in.”

For further details of how to join in please contact Elaine at [email protected]

I should have posted this info a while ago, but the email came in and frankly, events overtook me. My humblest apologies. But if you just turn up and put a tenner in a bucket, I am sure you’d be more than welcome to join the walk, even if it’s a bit late to arrange sponsors. Equally if not more importantly, if you cannot join the walk, please support MASC’s continued proud charity fundraising efforts by donating via the Maidstone Gooners’ justgiving page

1971 Arsenal Art now on ebay

You may remember this from a month back.

Well, the seller has emailed to say, “thanks for posting the painting. No buyers but plenty of nice contacts… good bunch the gooner art lovers. I’ve now posted the painting on ebay

No idea what the reserve price is, but I’m still intrigued by the artist. Anyhow, I’ll let you know if it gets sold.

Gerald Power finishes his email: “If you know of anyone who needs a brightly colored reminder of their reason to exist… please forward the link on.” Done.

More Arsènal info

I’ve posted this a few times before, so it’s been shoved to the bottom of the page to spare people ploughing through it again if they’ve seen it all before…
