A massive week ahead for The Arsenal
The week leading up to the North London Derby is always special, but this year it's even more so. On Wednesday, Arsenal returns to the Champions League for the first time since being knocked out by Bayern Munich in 2017.
I attended the away game in Munich in 2017, a match we ended up losing 1-5. Never would I have thought that I'd have to wait another 6 years to see Arsenal play in the most prestigious competition again.
However, here we are, a couple of managers later, but with a team full of hunger, belief, and ability. In the last years of the Arsene Wenger era there was never really any belief that we could go far, but that’s completely changed now.
It’s not only the fans that believe now, even the bookmakers has us as the 4thfavorites to win the Champions League. Being in the Champions League again and actually having a chance of winning it is special.
Speaking of something special, on Sunday, we have the one single game that fans might look forward to more than the return of the Champions League: the North London Derby.
Every year, it's the game I look forward to the most. It makes me nervous, but there's so much at stake in these matches, and the reward is unmatched.
I may have been born and raised in Denmark, but with a Dad who grew up in North London as a season ticket holder, the hatred for the noisy neighbors has been deeply instilled in me since I can remember.
Spurs have had a bright start to the season with their new manager, Ange Postecoglou, so getting the best of Sunday’s game and bringing them back to earth would feel so good.
One thing I know for sure is that our anthem 'The Angel' by Louis Dunford will be sung loud as ever, and I cannot wait to be a part of it.
