Arsenal Women will be without defender Amanda Ilestedt for the Gunners’ Continental Cup semi-final tie against Ason Villa at Meadow Park on Wednesday night.
Ilestedt missed Arsenal’s win over Manchester United on February 17 and has been sidelined due to illness since, missing the subsequent international break and game against Tottenham Hotspur.
The Swedish defender did train ahead of the Spurs match, and was in attendance at the Emirates to see Arsenal win 1-0, before meeting fans and taking photos after the game.

Jonas Eidevall said: “She is still unavailable, and I don’t have a clear update on the timeline yet for it. Hopefully I will have that soon.”
Arsenal youngster Katie Reid, recently recalled from a loan spell at Watford, will be unavailable as she featured for the Golden Girls in the Conti Cup group stage.
Eidevall also remarked that “we know for obvious reasons” that Aston Villa “also have some cup-tied players.” Villa fielded ineligible defender Noelle Maritz in their group stage 7-0 win over Sunderland, and were punished by the FA, with Sunderland awarded the three points.
With the exception of Reid, Arsenal will have an identical squad from Sunday’s win over Tottenham to choose from.
