It has been announced this afternoon that Arsenal’s showdown with Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium has been rescheduled.

The fixture will now take place on Tuesday May 2nd with a 20:00 kick off time, due to decisions made by the Metropolitan Police.

The club has communicated its frustration with the change, as we are all aware the fixture had already been moved to accommodate the Saturday evening kick-off.

The decision has been finalised due to a policing issue adhering to the advice of the Safety Advisory Group after a meeting was called by the city’s police for the match to be rescheduled.

The match will remain televised on Sky Sports with an 8pm kick off, it’s disappointing news for fans who have been made aware of the change just a few weeks before the initial date.
