An Arsenal attacker who graduated from the Hale End academy is set to leave the club in a £35m deal.
Emile Smith Rowe is edging closer to a Gunners exit from North London.
The 23-year-old is set to end to his time at the Emirates after falling down the pecking order following injury and loss of form over the last couple of campaigns.
The Gunners are close to reaching an agreement with Fulham in allowing Smith Rowe, who has been capped three times by England, to head to Craven Cottage in a deal around £35m.
The figures would equal Arsenal's record sale, while also being a new club record signing for the Cottagers.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta has given an update on the future of Smith Rowe from the club's pre-season tour of Los Angeles.
Smith Rowe was left out of Arsenal's pre-season squad to face Bournemouth in the US on Wednesday evening.
When quizzed on his absence, Arteta said: "There are things happening in the background at the moment and we decided the best thing to do was to keep (Smith Rowe) away from the game today."
Arteta added: "A lot of players have been linked with potential moves; one way or the other, it’s normal. We are in that moment in the market."
