Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has been named as Premier League manager of the month for January.
It’s Arteta’s second consecutive award after being crowned manager of the month for November/December also.
The Gunners gained seven out of a possible nine points from three matches in January with tough opposition not standing in the way of Arteta’s goal to win the title.
The month started with a 0-0 draw at home to high-flying Newcastle United, followed by a memorable win away to Tottenham Hotspur and then ending the month with a last gasp win at home to Manchester United.
Arsenal are now unbeaten in thirteen league matches and sit five points clear of the Premier League table at the halfway point.
It’s Arsenal’s longest unbeaten streak in five years, will this year finally be the year that the Premier League returns to north London for the first time since 2004?
Next up the Gunners head to Goodison Park to face Everton under the newly appointed Sean Dyche.
