Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard has praised keeper Aaron Ramsdale’s performance during the thrilling 2-2 draw with Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.
The Gunners shotstopper displayed outstanding form during the crunch clash that saw the North Londoners emerge with hard-earned point.
Arsenal went flying out of the blocks early on going 2-0 up by 28 minutes, after Gabi Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus scored in front of the Kop, prior to Granit Xhaka foolishly getting involved in a needless flashpoint with Trent Alexander-Arnold, angering Liverpool's players and the crowd.
Mohamed Salah pulled a goal back three minutes before the interval which was the catalyst for Jurgen Klopp's side to besiege the Gunners goal during the second half.
Salah missed the chance to equalise when he completely misses hit the target with a penalty for the second time in succession after Rob Holding was adjudged to have fouled Diogo Jota.
And despite Roberto Firmino's late equaliser, Liverpool could easily have won a frantic finale - but for the heroics of Ramsdale in keeping out the Red surge as the Arsenal keeper made a number of vital saves late on.
“Yes, he played a great game and saved us in many situations," said Odegaard. "It could have been more goals for them, but he was unbelievable, and a missed penalty as well so I’ll guess we’ll have to take the point and move on.”
