Arsenal are considering making a shock bid for an England star who played for the Three Lions during Euro 2024.
The Gunners are interested in landing Eberechi Eze.
Arsenal have been monitoring Crystal Palace’s £68million-rated playmaker - and believe bid of £60m could tempt the South Londoners to part with their talented England star.
However, the Gunners now face competition with Manchester City set to join Arsenal's bitter rivals Spurs in the race to sign the Palace star.
Eze starred for Crystal Palace last term, earning a slot in Gareth Southgate’s England squad for Euro 2024, making three appearances off the bench in Germany.
Despite a few injuries last season, the 26-year-old played a big part in the club's revival following Oliver Glasner’s arrival in February.
Eze notched an impressive 11 goals in 27 Premier League appearances, with six of his strikes coming in 11 games under Glasner.
In other news Arsenal are finalising a £42m deal for Bologna defender Riccardo Calafior, while Gunners forward Gabriel Jesus has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia.
