Arsenal have dominated the prestigious PFA Premier League Men’s Team of the Year with five players named in the best XI for last season.
Last term Mikel Arteta's side narrowly missed out on a first title for the club in more than two decade, taking billionaire moneybags Manchester City to the final day of the campaign.
Pep Guardiola's side retained their crown by a mere two-point margin, the second time in successive seasons that the Gunners ended runners-up to the club that has 115 charges hanging over it.
David Raya, William Saliba, Gabriel, Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard have all been selected for the 2023-24 PFA Premier League Team of the Year.
Arsenal said: "The five Gunners were included in the annual XI, which was selected by their peers’ votes based on their superb performances during the past 12 months as we finished the season with 89 points and 28 victories.
"This is the second year in a row that William and Martin have featured in the PFA side, with David, Gabriel and Declan all making their debuts.
"Only the 2003-04 team, which included six Gunners following our Invincibles campaign, has had more Arsenal representation."
Raya was named between the sticks after his debut season. The keeper ended the season with a Euro 2024 winners medal after assuming the Gunners No1 spot from Aaron Ramsdale early in the campaign.
While Saliba and Gabriel were also named having built the best defensive partnership in the division - with Odegaard and Rice both named in midfield.
Odegaard was also named in last year’s best XI with Rice joining him after an outstanding debut season in North London, after his £105million move across the capital from West Ham United.
