Arsenal are back in action this evening as the Gunners take a trip to the south coast to face Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Gunners can retain their five-point lead at the top of the Premier League table with a win at the Amex, but victory won’t come easy as the ground has played host to some forgettable Arsenal performances in the past.

Since Brighton’s promotion to the top division in 2017, Arsenal have only claimed three victories over the Seagulls, with only one win coming away from home in the league back in 2020.

Times are changing, Arsenal look to be building a strong unit and a side that can challenge at the top as we’ve seen so far this season, a win against Brighton would be a big step in the right direction in what is a period of tough fixtures for the league leaders.

Brighton claimed a win in the Carabao Cup at the Emirates early last month, winning 3-1 in North London in an impressive display.

The hosts are set to be without some key names in their midfield, including World Cup winner Alexis Mac Allister and starlet Moises Caicedo who misses out due to suspension.

It looks as though Mikel Arteta will play an unchanged side to those that starred in the Boxing Day victory against West Ham United, however with Oleksandr Zinchenko fit we could expect to see Kieran Tierney relegated to the bench.

The Gunners have been defeated just once in the league this season at Old Trafford, with tough fixtures coming thick and fast, a win is the only acceptable result to break the fears of past results when it comes to visiting the Amex.
