Arsenal are back in action this afternoon as the Gunners take a trip down the road to the London Stadium to take on West Ham United. 

A win is essential for Mikel Arteta’s side, who can reinstate their six point lead at the top over Manchester City in second.

West Ham are in need of a win also, sitting just three points above the relegation zone in what is a thrilling battle at the bottom of the table this season. 

The Gunners were victorious in the home fixture against the Hammers on Boxing Day, where they came back from being a goal down to winning 3-1 in a phenomenal second half display. 

Speaking in his press conference earlier this week, Mikel Arteta revealed that as expected, William Saliba will not be available for selection as he continues to recover from a back injury. 

Eddie Nketiah will be in contention for some game time, as the striker has recovered from an ankle injury that has kept him sidelined for a number of weeks.

A win would restore faith in Arsenal’s title charge, after the disappointing late draw with Liverpool last weekend at Anfield.
