Arsenal are in pole position to land RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko.
Arsenal are considering a £60m bid for RB Leipzig's 20-year-old Slovenia forward Benjamin Sesko.
Sesko has scored in each of his last six appearances, including a goal against Champions League finalists Borussia Dortmund.
His agent Elvis Basanovic was also spotted at the Emirates when Arsenal beat Chelsea 5-0 last month.
The tall Leipzig frontman ended the Bundelsiga campaign in fearsome form by netting in seven games on the bounce - taking his total to 18 amid interest from the Premier League.
A towering presence at 6'5, the talented 20-year-old neatly fits Arsenal sporting director Edu's profile of signing young guns with potential that can be realised immediately.
It is understood Sesko has release clause of just £55 million in his contract at the Red Bull Arena - which would be considerably cheaper than Arsenal gunning for long-term targets such as Newcastle's Newcastle’s Alexander Isak and Ivan Toney of Brentford.
However, Arsenal may have to move quickly amid competition from Chelsea and Manchester United - as well as the threat of Leipzig removing the cut-price release clause from Sesko's paperwork.
