Arsenal midfielder Jorginho has been included in Italy's Euro 2024 squad.
The experienced 32-year-old has been given the opportunity to help the Azzurri retain the European Championship that they won by beating England on penalties in the previous final at Wembley.
Italy boss Luciano Spalletti has no hesitation in selecting the former Chelsea man who made his debut back in 2016.
The midfielder has won 53 caps for his country - but the eagerly-awaited tournament in Germany that starts in less than two weeks will be only the Arsenal player's second international jamboree, given that the Italians failed to quailify for the last two World Cups.
Only five players who started the Euro 2020 final vs the Three Lions back in July 2021 remain in the squad - goalkeeper and captain Gianluigi Donnarumma, right-back Giovanni Di Lorenzo, Jorginho and fellow midfielder Nicolo Barella, striker Federico Chiesa.
Jorginho featured in three of the Azzurri’s eight qualifying games with Italy now rounding off their preparations with a game against Bosnia and Herzegovina this Sunday.
