The Arsenal Cannon has replaced the club crest on Arsenal’s home shirt for 2024-25, released by Arsenal and Adidas today.
Adidas describe the kit as a “classic red and white colourway, with navy additions celebrates Arsenal’s rich heritage and provides a sleek canvas for the cannon to take centre stage.”
“Previously seen on Arsenal away and third kits, the cannon represents an enduring symbol of Arsenal’s history which has been synonymous with the club since its inception.”
Gabriel Martinelli told the Adidas website: “Since joining Arsenal, it has been clear to me how important the cannon is, to this great club and our supporters. It epitomises our spirit and we’re excited to wear it on the pitch with pride next season.”
Arsenal Women will wear the new home kit on Saturday as Jonas Eidevall’s side take on Brighton & Hove Albion in the Women’s Super League at Meadow Park.
Striker Alessia Russo said: “I love the simplicity of this new kit – giving the cannon space to shine. We know how much it means to the supporters – so to have it front and centre of our home kit will fill us with confidence every time we step foot on the pitch.”
The kit was created in close collaboration with Arsenal’s men’s and women’s teams, and marks the return of the cannon outside of the Arsenal crest for the first time since 1989-90.
