Arsenal are reportedly on the prowl for new signings ahead of the January transfer window.
The Gunners have been linked with a number of players; however, it looks to be Portuguese star Joao Felix that’s capturing the eye of the club.
The 23-year-old has been sensational so far at the World Cup for his country, showing a heap of footballing intelligence for someone so early in their career.
The forward is currently Atletico Madrid’s man, playing both in behind the striker as well as in advanced wide positions.
The youngster moved to Madrid from parent club Benfica at just 19, for an emphatic price of a reported €127m back in the summer of 2019.
The players’ ability is not in question, however due to a reported breakdown in relationship with boss Diego Simeone, the Portuguese sensation is open to a move away from La Liga.
Felix has made 12 appearances in La Liga this season, contributing to six goals – three scored and three assists.
A player of his calibre would fit into most sides, however with Arsenal’s continuing injury woes following Gabriel Jesus’ extended absence, he would be a strong addition to the Gunners’ front line in what will be a pivotal January window.
