With the Christmas period fast approaching, it’s time to select Arsenal player of the month for November.
It feels as though we’ve been without the Gunners for a long while, so it’s appropriate to look back over November’s top performers.
November was a memorable month for the Arsenal, three out of four games in all competitions and extending their lead at the top to five points.
The month started with a win in the Europa League against Zurich, followed by a memorable 1-0 win at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea where it was difficult to single out star players.
The Gunners were then defeated on the coast against Brighton in the Carabao Cup but showed redemption with a statement league win at Wolves to sign off before the international break.
All four nominees for Arsenal player of the month played pivotal roles in the win at Stamford Bridge as well as the decisive game at Wolves improving league form.
The nominated players for the award are as follows:
Gabriel Magalhaes: The centre back kept three clean sheets in four appearances in November, as well as showing his quality at the other end of the field, netting the winner at Stamford Bridge.
Gabriel Jesus: The forward had great impact going forward in both league games, working tirelessly in attack and midfield showing just how integral he is to this Arsenal side whether he is amongst the goals or not.
Martin Odegaard: The Arsenal captain was the star man in Arsenal’s 2-0 win at Wolves in the last bit of action before the break, scoring both goals in a true skippers’ performance away from home.
Ben White: The Englishman earned his call up to the World Cup for England for a formidable month in November, not conceding once in his new role as right back and impressing out on the flank.
