There’s some bad news to report on the injury front from Qatar as Arsenal fans’ fears become reality as Gabriel Jesus is ruled out.

The Arsenal star was subbed off injured during Brazil’s 1-0 loss to Cameroon and has since been ruled out of the remainder of the competition with a knee injury.

Although no diagnosis has been revealed, it has been reported that the striker will require surgery, taking his estimated time away from action to three months.

It’s news no Arsenal fan would want to hear, with the number nine being such a heavy influence on play and form for the team in the first half of the season.

Whilst it’s a big blow for the Gunners, Mikel Arteta has the January transfer window to potentially look to fill the striker’s absence with a prolonged period on the side lines expected.

Everyone associated with the club will hope the injury is not as bad as first reported, we wish Gabriel well with his recovery.
