Arsenal set for Balogun summit as Edu looks to bolster Arteta's Champions League squad

Arsenal transfer news

Striker Folarin Balogun is gearing up to make the most crucial decision in his flegdgling career so far.

The talented Balogun has already notched 18 goals in Ligue 1 goals while on loan to Stade Reims - one fewer than Kylian Mbappe this term.

However, with Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah already ahead of him in Mikel Arteta's Premier League table topping squad, a decision is still to be made.

Balogun is set to hold crunch talks with Arsenal over his future at the end of the season, according to reports.

It is understood that the 21-year-old will demand regular minutes at the Emirates next season after shining in France.

The striker has been in eye-catching form across this Channell during this campaign, and has been linked with a host of Premier League and European clubs.

According to reports in Italy AC Milan are preparing to make a move for the coveted young gun in a bid to overhaul their frontlines for next season.

Paolo Maldini wants to buy a young centre-forward to spearhead a long-term project and Balogun fits the bill after the San Siro giants have had the Hale End academy graduate monitored throughout the campaign.

It is believed that Balogun wants to leave Arsenal should guaranteed opportunities in Arteta's squad fail to materialise.

A further loan move have been ruled completely - meaning only a permanent move away from north London is on the table.

With Balogun valued at a minimum of £40m, sporting director Edu will be looking to reinvest the money into bolstering Arteta's Champions League squad for next season.
