It’s been almost two weeks since Arsenal have been in action, and it’s safe to say Mikel Arteta’s reds are sorely missed already.

Fans will be without the Gunners in a competitive nature until the Christmas break however it has been announced that the club will host Juventus at the Emirates in a friendly before the Premier League returns on boxing day.

It’ll be a welcomed return in North London with Italian giants Juventus agreeing a friendly just before Christmas to take place on the 17th December at 6pm.

Prior to this Arsenal will be in action in Dubai for the friendly tournament the Dubai Super Cup with both AC Milan and Lyon participating.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta called the friendly ‘a great test’ for the high-flying Gunners who sit five points clear at the top of the Premier League table.

The boss spoke about the importance of getting the fans back together at the Emirates before West Ham United visit for the continuation of the Premier League on boxing day.

The Spaniard said to the club’s official website: “Our supporters have been magnificent this season. They’ve created such a strong connection with the team and it’ll be fantastic to rekindle that spirit before competitive action starts up again.”

Tickets for the fixture are set to go on sale at the end of this month for what should be a fantastic game, with Juventus sitting third in Serie A with five league wins behind them prior to the World Cup break.

It’s imperative that the expected heavily changed Arsenal squad are ready to fire into the Christmas period without their teammates that have starred in the World Cup, and maintain the almost perfect form.
