The date and kick-off time for Arsenal's eagerly-awaited FA Cup third round clash with Liverpool has been announced.
Mikel Arteta's Premier League table-topping side were drawn to host The Reds at the Emirates in Sunday's cup draw.
The FA Cup meeting means the Gunners are set to face the Merseysiders in three consecutive months, with the first match coming coming on Saturday, December 23 at Anfield, with our home Premier League fixture scheduled for the first weekend in February.
Arsenal have confirmed that the FA Cup third-round tie against Liverpool will take place on Sunday, January 7 at Emirates Stadium.
The meeting with Jurgen Klopp's high-flying Reds will be a 4.30pm kick-off, and broadcast live on the BBC in the UK, and information regarding tickets is now available.
Arsenal said in a statement: "We last faced the Anfield club in the competition back in February 2014 when we ran out 2-1 victors, which was the 17th time we've locked horns in the FA Cup.
"During that time we've won on eight occasions, and met in the final in 1971 and 2001."
