Arsenal team news

With Takehiro Tomiyasu and Mohamed Elneny selected for their respective countries at the forthcoming Asian Cup and African Cup of Nations, the Gunners will be forced to draft in the relentlesly unconvicing Jakub Kiwior and the out of form Olexsandr Zinchencko into the backline.

Fabio Vieira and Thomas Partey will be missing due to injuries, while it will be interesting to note whether Arteta picks Aaron Ramsdale as a 'cup keeper' or persists with the worryingly unconvicing David Raya between the sticks

Liverpool team news

Midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai will miss the match because of a hamstring injury.

The 23-year-old Hungary international suffered the blow in Monday's 4-2 win against Newcastle United and came off after 64 minutes.

"I can confirm it's not a potential injury - it is an injury," Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said on Friday.

"Muscle, hamstring. But now we have to see," he added.

Mo Salah is also absent due after being called up to Egypt's ACN squad
