Rosenborg upset the odds to beat Atletico Madrid 3-2 on penalties after a 2-2 draw at Meadow Park in round one of Champions League qualifying.
The Norwegian outfit will play the winner of Arsenal Women versus Rangers (Wednesday evening) on Saturday for a place in the second round of qualification.
Fiamma headed Atletico in front in the 20th minute and the Spanish side dominated the first half, with former Arsenal forward Gio missing two one-on-one chances.

Rosenborg, managed by English coach Robin Shroot, were well-organised and subdued Atletico before equalising through substitute Rebecka Wanvik Holum in the 91st minute to force extra time.
With Arsenal head coach Jonas Eidevall watching on, centre-back Andrine Tomter capitalised on a spilled free-kick to put Rosenborg in front just before the half-time interval in extra time.
However, Atletico capitalised on a tired Rosenborg team to force an equaliser in the final seconds of extra time, as Lauren’s shot crept over the line to take the game to penalties.
It was Rosenborg who would edge the shootout, mainly thanks to goalkeeper Rugile Rulyte, who saved two spot-kicks before Medina missed the deciding penalty.
Arsenal or Rangers will face Rosenborg on Saturday at 7:30pm, with the loser of the all-British affair playing Atletico Madrid in Saturday’s third-place play-off.
