Ticket sales continue to rise for Arsenal Women’s UEFA Women’s Champions League semi final at the Emirates Stadium, with the club aiming to sell out the 60,704 capacity stadium for the very first time.
Another remarkable comeback saw Arsenal recover a 2-0 deficit against two time Champions League winners Wolfsburg to draw 2-2 at the Volkswagen Arena. The performance and result has set up the second leg perfectly as Arsenal try to reach their second European final.
5,000 more tickets have been sold since full time in Germany, with the impact of Arsenal’s gutsy first leg display clear to see. Jonas Eidevall told the media “I think we have a very good chance of selling out the Emirates”, with the Gunners already very close to selling their highest number of tickets for a women’s game.
Arsenal’s social media strategy has played an important role in driving ticket sales for the second leg, but only recently have posts set their sights on selling out the Emirates.

With all the attention on the second leg attendance, credit must also go to the travelling Arsenal supporters in Wolfsburg, who made the less-than routine journey to Lower Saxony to roar on their team in the first leg.
Fans congregated in the city centre before and after the game to get together at the sun-drenched Sausalitos cocktail bar, organised by the Arsenal Women Supporters Club, and sold out their away allocation at the Volkswagen Arena.
