Arsenal defender Ben White has returned to training with the club following his premature World Cup exit.
The 25-year-old left the England camp in Qatar for personal reasons after not featuring in the group stages due to a reported illness.
Gareth Southgate stressed the importance of respecting White’s privacy during this time when speaking to the media following England’s exit.
“Ben left for personal reasons. Especially in this day and age it is very important that a situation like that is respected.”
The defender has been an integral member of the Arsenal squad this season, showing his worth and versatility in the Gunners’ back line.
It’s been reported that his fellow teammates Thomas Partey and Matt Turner are training again with Arsenal.
Mikel Arteta’s side are currently in Dubai playing a part in the mid-season friendly tournament the Dubai Super Cup, where the Gunners won their opening game against Lyon 3-0.
