With two wins from two Arsenal have made a statement to the rest of the Premier League. 

And with the likes of Bournemouth, Fulham and Aston Villa, set to face the in-form Gunners before the month is out, Mikel Arteta could be forgiven for resting on his laurels with his revamped squad. 

However, with the transfer window set to shut in just over two weeks, the impressive Gunners boss is still keen to bring in more new players as he looks to lead his side into the Champions League for the first time since 2015-16.

The former Arsenal midfielder has made central midfield and a winger the priority positions for the final weeks of the window.

While Arsenal supporters are keen for Leicester's Youri Tielemans to sign - note the warm reception he receieved when being subbed during the Foxes 4-2 defeat at the Emirates on Saturday, a deal for the Belgian will be difficult to facilitate this month as it is understood the player will simply run down his contract until he becomes a free agent this time next year.

All of which means Brighton star Moises Caicedo has now emerged as a genuine Arsenal target.

Having been compared with N'Golo Kante, it is understandable the 20-year-old Caicedo is on Arsenal's wish-list. 

Brighton's Ecaudor midfielder Caicedo has been attracting interest from some of the continent's leading clubs including the Gunners as well as rock-bottom Manchester United.

With South American football expert Tim Vickery saying, "A year ago he was saying that Kante of Chelsea is his role model but he is already more than that. He already offers more in the final third."
