Good news for Gooners: Bukayo Saka is available for selection for Mikel Arteta’s squad against West Ham United on Sunday.
Bukayo limped off of the pitch in the 79th minute of last weekend’s 3-1 win against Liverpool, but Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta said: “He’s been recovering this week and he looks okay.”
“We’re hopeful we’re going to have a few back and that we can put out a very competitive squad out there,” Arteta said on Friday afternoon.
In his pre-West Ham press conference at London Colney, Arteta also added Oleksandr Zinchenko, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Gabriel Jesus will be continued to be assessed - with a decision set to be made after Saturday’s training session.
On facing fomer collegue David Moyes, the West Ham boss, Arteta was full of praise.
He said: "He’s a really experienced manager who’s extremely good at getting the best out of his team.
"He does it in various ways. He’s extremely good at managing the group, he’s a really competitive manager who understands when you get an edge in the game and wait for the moments in the game to punish you.
"His trajectory and what he’s done at West Ham is incredible."
