We've all got Arsenal pals, who might not have been in a while, and certainly haven't read the Gooner Fanzine recently. 

So, why not buy a copy for them and spread the Gooner Fanzine gospel, while showing a bit of kindness to an old friend who you might not have spoken to in a while. 

It's the perfect time, because, if you can't talk about the Arsenal with an old mucker in the week the magnificent Gunners swept aside the mighty Real Madrid, then when can you? 

So, whether it's a fellow Arsenal workmate you get on with, a neighbour who's a Gunner, a family member you'd like to share you love of our club with, your wife, girlfriend, husband, boyfriend or any combination of the above, not to mention a teammate (or opponent) in your five-a-side league, your postie (not the ones who lose our issues in the post though...), a bloke down the local you haven't chatted to in a while, grandkids, grandparents, teachers, pupils, basically anyone who is a Gooner and would benefit from a spot of Gooner Fanzine goodness in their lives, then why not share our humble of love with someone you love/like/don't mind/tolerate/can't stand...

The reason we haven't brought out a new men's Gooner yet is twofold.

One, because I didn't want to publish a magazine when we didn't know the score of the biggest and most pivotal two legged clash of the campaign.

It would have been remiss of me to have brought out an issue when we simply didn't know the result of our season defining fixture against Real Madrid.

And two, because we simply haven't sold enough copies of issue 310, and I'm sick of having copies of what I truly believe is a quality effort piling up in my front room that deserve to be read by loyal Gooners, everywhere.

It really sticks in my craw when I sell the Gooner on match days and see that some people are quite prepared to spend a sickening £25 on a half and half scarf, but turn their nose up at learning more about our glorious club from true fans - on a platform that wants no more than to provide a voice for the quiet majority of Gooners everywhere, whether you're from North Sydney or North London.  

So, we've decided to launch a Buy a Gooner for a Mate Week, starting from Saturday's clash with Brentford.

So, please, do what it says on the tin: Buy A Gooner for a Mate.

And help spread the Gooner gospel.
