Find out who impressed on a comfortable evening in North London.
Player Ratings:
David Raya: 7/10 - A Champions League clean sheet is never to be sniffed at. But the Brentford loanee was Indecisive and lacks authority. Simply does not instil confidence in his backline, nor those watching on
Ben White: 7/10 - Fired over with a shot shortly before the Gunners opened the scoring
William Saliba: 7.5/10 - Power, authority and such pace. Used it wisely after an initial lapse when denying Sevilla No3 Adria Pedrosa, by sliding in to remove what was shaping up to be a dangerous break
Gabriel: 7/10 - Solid to earn a clean sheet
Takehiro Tomiyasu: 7/10 - Replaced at the break by Zinchenko
Declan Rice: 8/10 - Shuttled back and forth with metronomic reliability
Jorginho: 7.5/10 - Outstanding through ball to Saka who squared for Trossard to score. Deserved his round of applause after being subtituted for Elneny in the dying moments
Kai Havertz: 7/10 - Could and should have scored in the opening 60 seconds. Drifted in and out of the game as is his wont. We all agree he is a talented midfielder, but does his lackadaisical style fit in with Arteta's high-intensity pressing game. Now where have we heard that before?
Gabi Martinelli: 8/10 - Always lively on and off the ball. His shadow Juanlu finally earning a yellow card, more as culmination of fouls against the Brazil star, although the second half caution he eventually received for his 71st minute foul was the closest the Sevilla No26 got to Martinelli all evening. Replaced by Reiss Nelson on 80 minutes
Leandro Trossard: 8.5/10 - Displaced Eddie Nketiah for this Champions League clash and did his cause no hard at all by getting on the end of a sweeping move to put the Gunners ahead on the half hour. Deserved his ovation when replaced by Fabio Vieira with 10 minutes remaining
Bukayo Saka: 8.5/10 - Constantly fouled by the Sevilla backline because the Arsenal No7 never let the visitors defence settle. Fired a free-kick over Marko Dmitrovic's woodwork shortly before grabbing an assist for Trossard by his perceptive ball into the box. Deserved his second half goal after being such a threat all night - with his finish past Dmitrovic, after twisting and turning Pedrosa was an absolute delight. Another who earned his warm applause after being replaced late on after a satisfying evening's work
Substitutes:
Oleksandr Zinchenko: 7.5/10 - Replaced Takehiro at the break. Nearly scored with a tremendous volley midway through the second half
Fabio Vieira: 7/10 - On for Trossard with ten minutes remaining and the match comfortably won
Reiss Nelson: 7/10 - Came on for Martinelli as the same time as Vieira
Jakub Kiwior: 7/10 - On for Saka late on
Mohamed Elneny: 7/10 - On for Jorginho with moments remaining
