Mikel Arteta's Gunners handed out a masterclass to their Dutch visitors as the Champions League returned to North London is style.
Rampant Arsenal routed PSV with four excellent goals, three of whcih came before the 38th minute.
Bukayo Saka grabbed the Gunners first strike in the tournament since March 7, 2017 when he fired past Walter Benitez after only eight minutes.
Worse was to come for Eindhoven's increasingly beleagured keeper when Leandro Trossard struck after 22 minutes, prior to Gabriel Jesus making it 3-0 - and it there were still seven minutes before the interval.
Captain Martin Odegaard made it 4-0 with 20 minutes remaining as Europe's premier competition made a memorable return to Islington.

David Raya (GK) – 7/10 – Two clean sheets in a row for the Gunners new shotstopper even if his famed distribution wasnt as impressed as it was hoped on his home debut
Ben White (RB) – 8/10 – How wonderful to see the Arsenal defender maurading down the flank in the final moments with as much energy and comittment as she showed from the first whistle
William Saliba (CB) – 8/10 – A supreme centre-back who looked quite at home on the biggest stage
Gabriel (CB) – 8/10 – Great to see the Brazil international back with partner in crime Saliba after a few unsteady weeks due to unwanted Saudi interest
Oleksandr Zinchenko (LB) – 7.5/10 – Peformed well against Johan Bakayoko as his Champions League pedigree shone through
Declan Rice (DM) – 7.5/10 – A solid Champions League debut. But with such excellent attacking options around him he wasn't required to hit the heights we all know he can reach. Alreadty a vital presence in the Gunners midfield
Kai Havertz (CM) – 6/10 – The former Chelsea player hit the winner in the 2021 Champions Leaague final. Hasn't hit those heaedy heights since but will be hoping this tournament will see the return of his mojo
Martin Odegaard (CM) – 8.5/10 – Excellent goal, excellent performance. More of the same please on Sunday
Bukayo Saka (RW) – 8/10 – Grabbed the Gunners first Champions League goal since Theo Walcott in 2017. A lively presence throughout on a wet and windy evening
Gabriel Jesus (ST) – 8.5/10 – A class act on the top stage
Leandro Trossard (LW) – 8.5/10 – Scored and assisted to cap a good night all round for the effective attacker
